Recording Sessions

Tamloot offers multiple ways to record your sessions. Choose the method that works best for your workflow.

Recording with Invite Bot (Zoom or Google Meet)

The simplest recording method - works directly from your browser:

  1. Go to the Dashboard at app.tamloot.cc
  2. Click the "Invite Bot" button
  3. Paste your meeting URL (Zoom or Google Meet)
  4. Click "Join"

What Happens Next:

  • A Tamloot recording bot joins your meeting as a participant
  • The bot automatically records the session audio
  • When the meeting ends, recording stops and processing begins
  • You'll be redirected to the session page once created

Benefits of Invite Bot:

  • No software installation required
  • Works from any device with a browser
  • Supports both Zoom and Google Meet
  • Bot joins in seconds

Recording with the Desktop App (Zoom)

Before Your First Recording:

  1. Open Tamloot Desktop
  2. Sign in to your account
  3. Ensure all permissions are granted (you'll see green checkmarks for all 3 permissions)
  4. Check your session limit in the app

Recording a Session:

  1. Start or join your Zoom meeting as normal
  2. Tamloot will automatically detect the active meeting
  3. Select a client from the dropdown (optional but recommended)
  4. Click "Start Recording"
  5. The recording indicator will show you're recording with animated visual feedback
  6. Conduct your session normally
  7. Click "Stop Recording" when finished

Recording Controls:

  • Start: Begin recording (large primary button)
  • Pause/Resume: Temporarily pause the recording if needed (toggles between pause and play icons)
  • Stop: End the recording and begin processing

Visual Feedback:

  • Animated circular status indicator shows current state
  • Colors change based on state: idle (primary), starting (pulse), recording (red glow), paused (yellow), saving (green)
  • Real-time status text displays current state

After Recording:

  • Your session is automatically uploaded to Tamloot
  • Minimum recording duration is 2 minutes - shorter recordings are skipped
  • Transcription begins automatically (usually takes 2-5 minutes)
  • AI insights are generated from the transcript
  • You can view everything in your dashboard under Sessions

Recording with the Chrome Extension (Google Meet & Zoom)

Before Your First Recording:

  1. Click the Tamloot extension icon in Chrome
  2. Sign in via your dashboard authentication
  3. Accept the recording consent (one-time acknowledgment checkbox)
  4. Grant microphone permission (optional but recommended for better transcription)

Recording a Session:

  1. Join your Google Meet or Zoom web session
  2. Click the Tamloot extension icon
  3. Click "Start Recording"
  4. A red "Tamloot Recording" indicator appears on the meeting page (top-right corner)
  5. A timer shows your recording duration
  6. Conduct your session
  7. Click "Stop Recording" when finished

Audio Capture Options:

  • Tab audio only: Records what's played through the meeting (default)
  • Tab audio + microphone: Records both the meeting and your voice (recommended for better transcription quality)

Recording Indicator: The extension displays a recording overlay on the meeting page:

  • Fixed position in the top-right corner
  • Red background with "Tamloot Recording" text
  • Pulsing white dot indicator
  • Isolated styling that doesn't interfere with the meeting interface

After Recording:

  • Audio chunks are uploaded in the background during recording
  • Processing begins automatically when you stop
  • View your session in the dashboard once complete
